With some of my clients, anonymity is essential. Whether it be because of the career field they are in (RCMP, lawyers, teachers, media, politicians, etc) or because the photos are a top secret surprise for their husband/boyfriend/fiance. Some ladies just have a snoopy mother in law! haha!
With each session I discuss privacy concerns with my clients. I only share what is comfortable for them and would never compromise the trust in our professional relationship for the benefit of my portfolio.
I give these choices for adding photos to my portfolio: a) I’m ok with sharing any of my images, b) I’m ok with sharing images not identifiable to me or c) Please don’t share any of my images.
When my clients choose to share non-identifiable images, I always let them see which photos I’ve chosen to share before I publish it on my blog. You get the final say on what gets put online.
Miss E booked her session as a gift to her fiancee for their wedding. In order to not spoil the surprise, I’m showing images that are not recognizable to her, but still HOT images that I am happy to share with everyone. Miss E – you rock, you were so much fun and I loved working with you!
