“When I first got engaged I started hearing about boudoir sessions and saw pictures all over wedding blogs and thought “that’s so awesome, I wish I could do that”. I didn’t think I was brave enough, or daring enough, or sexy enough, even. But one day on a whim I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and just go for it! I owed it to myself as a reward for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I knew that my fiancé would be totally shocked – in the very best way possible.
After a bit of shopping around for Vancouver boudoir photographers, I was immediately drawn to Jennifer’s style – there was no comparison. With the recent work shared on the website, I was able to get an excellent idea of what I would look like and what the final product would be, and I knew that was what I wanted. All the glowing reviews on the website were the final persuasion.
I was a little bit nervous, but mostly excited! I remember thinking that it would be difficult to relax when sitting stiffly in lingerie (worrying that a boob would pop out!) and stumbling around in high heels, but once we got into it, it was surprisingly easy. I loved the hair and makeup – it was really fun getting glamorous with Kelly. She made me feel my very best, which makes it very easy to warm up to the camera. The makeup was sexy and beautiful, and it lasted literally all day long.
To anyone considering a boudoir shoot – you’ve gotta do it! It was an amazing, liberating experience. When the hair and makeup is done and you’re all dressed up in some of the sexiest outfits you’ve ever owned, you really start to feel like a million bucks! It’s kind of shocking how your inhibitions leave you once the posing starts and suddenly you feel like a Victoria’s Secret supermodel! Not to mention that Jennifer and Kelly are great. We were chatting and giggling away, it felt like I was spending the afternoon with a bunch of girlfriends. So much fun!”
