Many women are choosing to do boudoir photography for self-love, and I for one am here for it! As a boudoir photographer, one of the most rewarding aspects of my job is helping women see themselves in a new light.

I understand that many women feel self-conscious about their bodies.
Just the thought of doing a boudoir shoot can be intimidating! My goal with each and every one of my clients is to create a comfortable environment where you can let go of self judgement and just enjoy the experience.

From the moment you step into my studio, I work with you to create a set of images you will cherish forever. I am sensitive to my clients' comfort levels at all times, and I work hard to ensure you feel beautiful and empowered throughout the experience. The resulting images provide a reminder of that feeling that you can tap into anytime you need a pick me up.

For this reason, a boudoir session is so much more than just pretty pictures.
It's an experience that will allow you the opportunity to see yourself in a completely new way.

One of my favourite aspects of being a boudoir photographer is seeing the look of surprise on a client's face when she sees the images for the first time.
It's not uncommon for them to say,
"Wow! I can't believe that's me!"

On several occasions, a few happy tears have been shed during a client's image reveal. There's usually a span of emotions during these appointments; ranging anywhere from excitement, to relief, to feeling seen. I think we as women can all agree that, collectively, we spend a little too much time focusing on our perceived flaws. Instead, we should be spending a little more time appreciating the strong and beautiful woman in the mirror.

A boudoir session can seem daunting to many women.
We're taught to be self-critical, and to compare ourselves to the impossible standards of beauty we see on social media. People have even told me they didn't think they could be 'sexy like the ladies on your Instagram'.

This may surprise you, but,
the majority of those women once thought the exact.same.thing.

"But I have cellulite"
"But I've had 3 kids"
"But I'm over 40/50/60"
But but but..

Honey, at this stage in my career, I've seen it all.

Firstly, I hand retouch my images to appear as natural as possible. Nobody has perfect skin naturally. Period. Secondly, I've had women of all stages of life in front of my camera, and there isn't a lump, bump, roll, stretch mark or scar I haven't worked with already.
Lastly, if you think you're 'too old' to do a boudoir photoshoot, allow me to bust that myth by showing you some of the women who have done boudoir over 40 and over 50!

What you see on my website and blog is a fraction of the work I have created over the last 15 years. Not every client allows me to share their images, and that's ok! Even though I think you look incredible and would love to share your beauty with the world, I completely respect your privacy when it comes to your boudoir photos.

For many of my clients, a boudoir session is a way to commemorate a significant event in their lives.
Milestone birthdays, a career achievement, becoming a mom, getting married and even getting a divorce are all events worth celebrating! The sole purpose of boudoir photography is to celebrate yourself at any stage in your life. By working with a professional boudoir photographer (like me!), you can expect to not only receive an incredible set of images that showcase your unique beauty, but also create a lasting memory of a special time in your life. I feel honoured to be a part of such an intimate experience for so many women.

I believe that boudoir photography is an incredible experience every woman should have in her lifetime.
Here's what Miss S had to say about her experience:
"There’s no other boudoir photographer you need to look up, your answer is right here with Jennifer Williams! I hope that anyone who is a little shy or has doubts about doing a boudoir shoot can let their guard down and be vulnerable and leave it all in Jen’s hands because I did that and it came out perfectly! ❤️ I 100% recommend the add on for Kelly to do your makeup. She is a pro and I wouldn’t let anyone else do my makeup!
This was my 1st boudoir shoot and it won’t be my last!"
