About Us

Boudoir photography is not only a fantastic experience every woman should have, it’s also a brilliant wedding or anniversary gift for your beloved.  What sets us apart from other studios is our commitment to providing a safe and encouraging environment for women, building trust and creating beautiful pieces of editorial-style art you will enjoy for years to come.

We love working with amazing and dynamic women who want to look and feel incredible. Makeup and hairstyling is included in every session, and throughout the shoot you will be coached and directed to look your very best. Our studio is located in the trendy Yaletown neighbourhood of Vancouver, and we are available for private commissions worldwide.

My name is Jennifer Williams and I have been creating intimate portraits for women in Vancouver and across Canada since 2009.

A lot of people ask me how I started in photography and I’d have to say it all began with my own boudoir session.  The whole time leading up to my photo shoot I was so excited to give my partner his gift, but I did not realize until I was in front of the camera what a gift it was to myself.  I realized for the first time that I was sexy – and had never thought of myself in that way before.

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My dad’s rigatoni.

Favorite album of all time:
This is such a difficult question! I’d have to say an album that always makes me smile is Graceland by Paul Simon

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
There are so many places in the world I’ve yet to see, but I’d have to say Maui. I would also love to have the opportunity to live in New York City for a while.

Guilty pleasure:
Old Dutch baked salt and vinegar chips. I gotta have the kind of S&V that will leave chemical burns on the inside of my mouth!

Favorite beauty secret:
Skoah skin care. One might say I’ve become obsessed.

Movie you’ve watched an embarrassing amount of times:
Ace Ventura Pet Detective. I can pretty much quote the entire movie. “That’s none of your damn business and I’ll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs.”

Current addiction:
Acai bowls. Why did I wait so long to try these?!

To me, the best part of being a woman is:
Flaunting it! I love every part of being female; from the fun with hair/makeup/clothes to the internal feminine features like being soft and nurturing or strong and lifting others up. Every day I get to choose which woman I want to be.

Why do you connect to boudoir photography?
Because for generations women have been told to be modest, but not a prude. To be sexy but not slutty. To be attractive but not too ‘done up’. I want to tear those expectations down and help women see themselves as beautiful, powerful and sexy…on their own terms. I want to help women define their sensuality and boudoir photography is a great way to do that.

Kelly Trerise is my studio manager and an outstanding makeup artist. After spending over a decade as a professional makeup artist in the TV and film, fashion and magazine industries, Kelly has worked on dozens of A-list celebrities and has garnered 4 prestigious awards in the beauty world.

Since joining my team in 2010, Kelly has become the go to gal for Boudoir specific hair and makeup. With her upbeat personality and her genuine love for making fabulous women feel spectacular, Kelly consistently makes each and every one of our clients feel like a total bombshell. She’s affectionately known around these parts as the Beauty Queen and we’re excited for you to get the chance to find out why!

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mexican food!

Favorite album of all time:
I’m basically obsessed with Madonna so I’ll go with ALL OF HER ALBUMS! 🙂

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’ve traveled around the world and I keep coming back to Vancouver… There’s no place like home!

Guilty pleasure:
Reality TV and a bag of 5 cent candies

Favorite beauty secret:
Retinol for my skin and Latisse for my lashes. Can’t live without either!

Movie you’ve watched an embarrassing amount of times:
Wedding Crashers

Current addiction:
Eos lip balm, it’s always within reach!

To me, the best part of being a woman is:
I love being able to be a strong business woman, a creative artist, a sexy seductress, a funny friend, a trustworthy and caring wife and whatever else I feel like being in the moment. As women we adapt ourselves all day long, I think it’s pretty cool!

Why do you connect to boudoir photography?
I feel like what we do is so, so important for women. We help to show our clients that sexuality, femininity, confidence and feeling beautiful is OK. In our studio being whoever you are is welcomed and encouraged. My favourite part of a shoot is watching a client come in nervous and seeing them leave confident with their head held high.

Jinx is our official mascot, guard dog and greeter.  Don’t be fooled by his menacing exterior, he’s very friendly and will probably try to convince you to pet him.  Jinx is a 14 year old pomeranian-mix who loves when people come to visit the studio.

**If you have allergies please let us know so Jinx can take the day off**

Boudoir photography is what we love to do. Showing women their beauty is so rewarding for us, and we would love to give that experience to you – if you would like to book an intimate photo session, please send us a message. The studio address is 857 Beatty Street, Vancouver (by appointment only).

We're so excited you're here!

Take a look around! We hope you enjoy our work and would love to have you in for a shoot!

It was just a great experience all round. I love your philosophy of women being comfortable in the body they occupy and to celebrate that journey. Miss J
