q.

Will my photos be shared online?

No! Not unless you say it’s ok!

Every client I feature on my blog has given me written permission to post her images. If you aren’t comfortable with any images being shared, that is completely fine, just let me know! Read my complete policy about client privacy here: https://jenniferwilliams.com/privacy/

Q.

I have cellulite/stretch marks/acne, can you get rid of that?

In most cases, yes.

Removal of acne, acne scarring, stretch marks, and cellulite is part of the retouching process. If you would like me to smooth out the visual line in your silhouette, I can also do minor tuck-ins by request. What I won’t do is drastically change your body shape or face, I want your images to look like you on your best day. If there is something you feel self-conscious about, we can use poses and lighting to emphasize your favourite features instead.

Q.

I'm older than (or not as thin as) the women on your website, can I still book a session?

YES YES YES! Everyone is welcome in front of my camera!

I feel bad that people have even asked this question! Since picking up a camera in 2008, I have photographed a diverse amount of shapes, sizes, ethnicities and ages (I've had many clients well into their 70s!). Not everyone is comfortable with their photos being shared online, so unfortunately I'm not able to show the full range of my work. What I can promise is that I will create images to flatter YOU and best show your personality. I believe every woman is beautiful and it’s my job to show you just how gorgeous you are. Take a look at my portfolio to see diverse range of women in some of my favourite shareable images. I have also curated some blog posts featuring women over 40 and over 50!

Q.

Do I bring my own lingerie, or do you provide the outfits?

You need to bring your own outfits and accessories to the photo shoot.

If you want to do a 'white sheets' look, I provide the sheets. Select outfits that suit your personality and body shape, and complement your skin tone. Once you book your shoot I send a detailed email with outfit ideas, suggestions, and recommendations of where to shop. A great place to start getting ideas is my Top 10 Boudoir Outfit Ideas!

Q.

should I do my own hair and makeup?

I highly recommend adding makeup and hairstyling with Kelly to your package.

I’ve been working with her since 2010 and not only is her work exceptional, it makes a huge difference in the end result of your images. Even a ’no-makeup’ look is best achieved with a professional! If you decide to book Kelly, she will consult with you before the shoot day to discuss the look you’d like to achieve or advise you if you aren’t sure what to ask for.

Q.

can I bring my partner or a friend to my shoot?

I prefer to work one-on one with you.

You may think having someone there for moral support will help ease your nerves, however I've found that sometimes having an ‘audience’ can make you feel more even more self conscious! I want you to be able to feel relaxed and fully present for the shoot; this is a big factor in creating incredible images that you'll cherish forever. If you absolutely must bring someone, they are welcome to attend the makeup/hair portion of your session, then leave to have lunch or go shopping while we do the photo shoot. The only person you should invite is your biggest cheerleader - if they're not excited for you, they can stay home!

Q.

I'm ready to book a shoot, what's next?

Fill out my contact page, and I will send you package options and add ons. Once we pick a date I will send you a booking proposal and contract. The contract must be signed and a non-refundable retainer is due to reserve your shoot day/time. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the day of your shoot, and payment can be made with credit card through my online booking system. I also accept e-transfer! Payment plans are available if you need a bit of flexibility in order to afford the package you really want to book.

Q.

I'm not sure yet if I want an album, can I decide when I see my photos?

Absolutely! There's no pressure to decide.

After the shoot I will send you a password protected online gallery for you to select your final images. If you decide to order an album (they're gorgeous, check them out here), payment must be made in full before I begin work on the design. I do not work on product orders without full payment up front.

Q.

I can't make my shoot date, can I reschedule?

Absolutely!

I understand that sometimes things come up and a date no longer works. You can reschedule your shoot once without penalty with a minimum 21 days notice. If you need to reschedule with less than 21 days notice, a non refundable rescheduling fee of $500 is due in order to reschedule your shoot day. Any balance paid is not refundable or transferable if you decide to cancel or you don't show up for your appointment. When you sign your contract, I stop offering that date to other people, thus turning away anyone who may have been interested in shooting that day.

Q.

what is your refund policy?

Due to the custom nature of photography, the package price and any products you have ordered are non-refundable.

You have final say on the retouching, and custom album designs are sent to you for review prior to being ordered. Further editing requests can be made at that stage, and nothing goes to print without your final approval.

Q.

where do the shoots take place?

In Vancouver, your photo shoot will be at my boudoir studio located at 857 Beatty Street.

All sessions are done by appointment only, I am not able to accommodate walk-ins.
In other cities, I shoot in a luxury hotel suite or other suitable space. Exact location will be confirmed and sent to you prior to your shoot.

Q.

what else should I know?

I have been shooting boudoir since 2008 and have photographed well over 1000 boudoir sessions! I pride myself on not only my photographic skill, but my ability to make my clients feel welcome, seen, safe, comfortable and beautiful. Photo shoots are available to women aged 18 and over (you may be asked to provide ID).
